US retail giant Amazons first ever Prime Day in South Africa is set for Tuesday, 23 June 2026 - but the sale will run until Monday, 29 June with discounts of up to 50 on offer.
Amazon Prime, the membership programme of the worlds largest online marketplace, launched in the country on 2 June. It offers local consumers benefits ranging from free deliveries, savings and access to the Prime Video streaming platform .
It launched two years after Amazon unveiled its online shopping site in South Africa. South Africans can join via a 30-day free trial, after which a monthly price of R59 or annual fee of R399 applies.
