Fire crews have brought a vegetation fire on the Du Toitskloof mountain under control, allowing all previously affected roads to reopen as monitoring continues overnight, Cape town Etc reports
The blaze, which moved down the mountain slopes toward the Paarl side, prompted a coordinated response from the Drakenstein Municipality Fire and Rescue Services, supported by the Cape Winelands District Municipality and local farmers. Firefighters remain on scene as a precaution, keeping watch for any flare-ups.
All roads have now been reopened to traffic. Please proceed with caution, authorities confirmed in an update issued after containment was achieved.
