Road access is being restored across the Western Cape after severe storms affected about 400 roads, with repairs continuing in agricultural and logistics-linked areas still facing power and infrastructure disruptions.
More than 60 of affected roads had been repaired and reopened while recovery and mop-up operations continued across the province, Western Cape Premier Alan Winde said.
Eskom had restored electricity to 80 of affected customers but repair work had been hampered by difficult terrain, vandalism and cable theft, said Winde.
