A little peace of mind could go a long way for Western Cape motorists this month. In celebration of Mobility Month, the Western Cape Government is offering free vehicle inspections at selected testing centres to help ensure vehicles are roadworthy and safe before hitting the road.
The initiative is aimed particularly at scholar transport and public transport operators, with checks carried out by qualified examiners. These inspections are designed to help drivers identify potential safety issues early, long before they become serious hazards on the road.
These checks give motorists peace of mind before setting off on their journeys, said Mobility MEC Isaac Sileku. Too many drivers experience mechanical problems on highways and busy roads. This initiative helps reduce that risk.
