Defence and Military Veterans Minister Angie Motshekga has established a Board of Inquiry into allegations that President Cyril Ramaphosas instruction regarding Irans participation in the Will for Peace naval exercise was ignored.
Ramaphosa reportedly ordered the South African National Defence Force SANDF to ensure that Irans participation was limited to observer status.
However, reports indicate that Iranian vessels may have participated fully in the exercise.
