Attempted murder-accused tenderpreneur Vusimuzi Cat Matlala has requested a last-minute postponement of his testimony before Parliaments ad hoc committee.
In a letter addressed to the committees evidence leader Advocate Norman Arendse and chairperson Soviet Lekganyane on Tuesday 25 November, Matlalas lawyer Matlhatsi Abram Madira threatened urgent legal action should the committee not respond by 15:00 on Tuesday.
The committee is probing allegations made by KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Lt-Gen Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi that criminal syndicates have infiltrated the criminal justice system.
