Civic movement, Soil of Africa, is demanding increased law enforcement presence in Mamelodi East, Pretoria, following the brutal murder of two young women, aged between 21 and 22 years old, who were found shot dead on Sunday.
According to the movements chairperson Bongani Ramontja, this incident is part of a growing epidemic of gender-based violence that is terrorising South African women. This is the third such killing in the area within a week.
Police have launched an investigation, but the motive behind the gruesome killing remains unknown.
