The National Prosecuting Authority NPA has confirmed the withdrawal of an urgent court application brought by Madoda Johannes Sibanyoni and his co-accused to stop their arrest in an extortion case.
According to the NPA, attorneys representing Sibanyoni and co-accused Sindane filed a notice of withdrawal on Friday.
The application, filed earlier this week, sought to interdict the execution of a J50 warrant of arrest issued after prosecutors re-enrolled a criminal case that had been struck off the roll by the Kwaggafontein Magistrates Court on 18 May.
