The South African Weather Service SAWS has issued a yellow level 2 warning for disruptive rainfall in the Western Cape from tomorrow.
This is in addition to level 2 warnings for damaging coastal winds and waves.
The City of Cape Towns, Sonia Lategan says the Disaster Risk Management Centre has alerted all relevant departments and partners to be on standby for potential impacts from the forecast.
"With the weather warnings in mind, Disaster Risk Centre calls on the public to do as much as to safeguard their properties during the forecast period, like waterproofing, clearing gutters and digging trenches to lead water away from their structures," Lategan adds.
Lategan says in the event of any life-threatening emergency, Please call the Citys Public Emergency Communication Centre on 021 480 7700.
