South African Police Service SAPS management has called on the public to refrain from posting misleading information on social media about the three deceased officers.
This follows a recent post on the ongoing search for the missing vehicle that was carrying the officers .
Constables Cebekhulu Linda, Keamogetswe Buys and Boipelo Senoge went missing on Wednesday last week while travelling from Bloemfontein to Limpopo on deployment.
Their bodies were retrieved from the Hennops River in Centurion, Gauteng, two days ago.
National police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe says a case has been opened for defeating the ends of justice.
