amcf vows to help run ndlovus station after his disappearance

The Chairperson of the African Media and Communicators Forum AMCF, Elijah Mhlanga, says the organisation will work with the family of missing journalist Aserie Ndlovu to keep his community radio station operating.

This comes after police discovered human remains believed to be Ndlovu's in Rust de Winter, Limpopo, earlier this week . Authorities are currently conducting DNA tests to confirm the identity.

Ndlovu and his partner, Zodwa Precious Mdhluli, mysteriously disappeared in February this year. His absence has left a significant void in his community, where he was known for creating a platform for public discourse and engagement.

Mhlanga describes Ndlovu as a visionary who gave people the opportunity to openly discuss service delivery and other pressing issues.

"Everyone was welcome to come and express themselves in terms of issues regarding service delivery or whatever debate or discourse that would be ongoing at the time. And it became a useful platform for communication. We are going to miss him a lot, but we are working with the family to try and keep the business going. Its not an easy thing, because the visionary is no longer there and without the visionary, we need to find another way to assist the family, to keep it going. How that is going to be done, we dont know as yet."
