The Elections Management and Consulting Agency of Africa EMCA says SAPS officers and individuals claiming to be African National Congress ANC representatives unlawfully entered the home of its former director, Lulu White, without a warrant and later produced ballot papers they claim were found on the property .
In a written statement, EMCA says the incident occurred earlier this month, after an internal ANC complaint about alleged irregularities at the partys Greater Johannesburg regional conference held in December last year.
The agency maintains that all ballot papers remained sealed, secured and under strict chain-of-custody control, making the alleged discovery highly irregular.
