sanparks reports flooding and storm damage across western cape parks

From flooded riverbanks in Swellendam to fallen trees along popular hiking routes in Cape Town, severe weather conditions sweeping across the Western Cape province have left visible damage across several of South Africa's best-known national parks, Cape townEtc reports.

The development follows the latest update from the South African National Parks SANParks via social media, which confirmed that several parks across the Cape region have been affected by flooding, infrastructure damage, electricity outages and temporary closures after days of severe winter weather swept through the province.

The disruption stretches across key tourism and conservation sites, including Table Mountain National Park , Bontebok National Park , West Coast National Park , Agulhas National Park and Tankwa Karoo National Park .
