Wilderness Search and Rescue WSAR teams save three after carrying out two demanding technical rescue operations on Table Mountain on Tuesday evening, battling heavy rain, strong winds and poor visibility, reports Cape town Etc .
According to a WSAR Facebook update , the first incident unfolded above Camps Bay when two rock climbers became stranded on Postern Buttress after deteriorating weather forced them to retreat from the Champs Elysees climbing route.
Their abseil rope became jammed, leaving them unable to descend safely. Recognising the danger, they contacted the emergency number, allowing rescuers to respond before conditions worsened.
