London Spirit has appointed Mo Bobat as their Director of Cricket, with his tenure beginning on October 1, 2025, amidst the ongoing The Hundred 2025. Mo Bobat is known for shaping England's high-performance setup, and he is currently working as Royal Challengers Bengaluru's RCB director in the Indian Premier League IPL.
Mo Bobat has been serving as the Royal Challengers Bengaluru's RCB Director of Cricket since the 2024 IPL season. He brought with him over a decade of experience from the England and Wales Cricket Board ECB, where he served as performance director from 2019.

Bobat's strong bond with Royal Challengers Bengaluru head coach Andy Flower that they built during their ECB days has further boosted his chances for the top role in the IPL team.
At RCB, Bobat oversees everything from scouting and recruiting talent to shaping performance strategies and building a culture aimed at long-term success. He was a key figure behind England's triumphs in the 2019 ODI World Cup and the 2022 T20 World Cup.

However, he will continue his duties with RCB. With his appointment, London Spirit began preparations for the next season as the tournament is going through the transformation.
Like the other seven teams, London Spirit now operates under a joint ownership model-MCC controlling the majority share at 51 and US-based Tech Titans holding the remaining 49. However, the London Spirit name will remain for now, but fans can expect a new identity in early 2026.
