The presidency says P resident Cyril Ramaphos a will tonight take the nation into his confidence following allegations made by KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi against politicians and senior police officers.
Its been a week since Mkhwanazi made explosive allegations against Police Minister Senzo Mchunu accusing him of corrupt activities with notorious individuals. Mkhwanazis security personnel has since been tightened following the explosive allegations.
Presidency Spokesperson Vincent Magwenya says President Ramaphosa takes matters of national security very seriously.
President Cyril Ramaphosa has been seized with this matter in recent days and will following various consultations take the nation into his confidence at 19:00 - the 13 of July.
The president was out of the country, attending the BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro, when Mkhwanazi held his briefing.
