In a move aimed at acknowledging the roles and responsibilities of public office-bearers, President Cyril Ramaphosa has confirmed a salary increment that will take effect from April 1, 2026, Cape town Etc reports.
The adjustments reflect recommendations made by the Independent Commission for the Remuneration of Public Office-Bearers and have been delineated based on the type of office held.
Ministers and Deputy Ministers will see an increase of 3.8, while judges, magistrates, traditional leaders, and members of independent constitutional institutions will benefit from a more substantial 4.1 pay rise.
