Extreme heat has prompted an advisory from the South African Weather Service and SANParks, which says extremely high fire danger is expected across western parts of the Western Cape, reports Cape town Etc .

Table Mountain National Park managers set out practical safety guidance for people using the trails. They advise: carry sufficient water, wear light sun-protective clothing, and limit outdoor activity to early morning or late afternoon.
