The Western Cape Counterfeit and Illicit Goods Unit, together with brand protectors, executed a significant operation targeting businesses along Durban Road and the Bellville Station Shopping Centre on Tuesday, reports Cape town Etc .
The operation, which spanned a broad spectrum of suspected establishments, resulted in an impressive seizure of goods purportedly valued at a staggering R115 million.
According to Police spokesperson Constable Ndakhe Gwala, a total of 35 business premises were meticulously searched, leading to the confiscation of various clothing items, accessories, and perfumes.
