Quarterly crime statistic have revealed that extortion , gangs and taxi violence are the biggest drivers of crime in the Western Cape.
The quarterly crime statistics from July to September were released in Cape Town indicating an increase in murders of just over 9.
Provincial Police Commissioner Thembisile Patekile says about 80 of the crimes are committed in the Cape Town area.
