Cape Town's summer cultural season roared into life on Saturday as the KKKA Kaapse Klopse Voorsmakie transformed Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Racecourse into a vibrant celebration of music, colour and community, offering a lively taste of what to expect at the 2026 Hollywoodbets Cape Town Street Parade, Cape town Etc reports.
Held alongside the Festive Fair and the Hollywoodbets Cape Guineas, the Voorsmakie featured 16 Kaapse Klopse troupes and shifted the focus of the racecourse from a traditional race day to a full-scale cultural festival.
Thousands of spectators filled the venue as choreographed performances, bold costumes and traditional sounds created an electric atmosphere throughout the afternoon.
