A police constable is among a group of suspected business robbers who were arrested after making off with cellphones from a shop in the Durban CBD on New Years Eve.
KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi says the constable had his appointment certificate and service pistol with him when the group was arrested.
Mkhwanazi has condemned such behaviour on the part of police officers in whom the public places their trust.
