Former acting National Police Commissioner Khomotso Phahlane says some of the journalists in the country were used by former IPID boss Robert McBride and Private Investigator Paul OSullivan to discredit him.
Phahlane is testifying before the Ad Hoc Committee investigating allegations of criminal infiltration, corruption and political interference in the justice system.
The allegations were made by KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Lieutenant-General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi during a media briefing last year.
