ANC National Chairperson Gwede Mantashe has denied describing unemployed youths in South Africa as lazy, insisting that his controversial comments on unemployment were aimed at promoting activism.
Mantashe, who also serves as Mineral and Petroleum Resources Minister, stressed on Wednesday 14 January that he had been misquoted.
