Operation Shanela in the Free State has netted over 1 000 suspects.
The South African Police Service say the operation is part of its continued efforts to ensure the safety of the provinces residents.
Police spokesperson Mahlomola Kareli says the ongoing multidisciplinary operations are carried in residential areas, on major transit routes and in the Thabo Mofutsanyana District.
