Oman's telecommunications sector continues to show strong growth, according to the latest data from the National Center for Statistics and Information NCSI. By the end of October 2025, total mobile subscriptions in the Sultanate reached 8,045,400, marking an 11.3 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024.
Postpaid mobile subscriptions rose by 1.9 percent to 1,260,429, while prepaid subscriptions grew by 3.0 percent to 5,200,770. The Internet of Things IoT segment saw significant expansion, with subscriptions jumping 68.0 percent to 1,584,201.
Internet services also recorded notable growth. Active mobile broadband subscriptions increased to 5,432,686, while fixed broadband subscriptions rose by 3.6 percent to 595,692. Fiber-optic FTTH/B subscriptions grew 12.4 percent to 351,432, and 5G fixed subscriptions saw a modest increase of 0.5 percent to 219,751, whereas fixed 4G subscriptions declined sharply by 51.3 percent to 12,621.
