KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thami Ntuli has welcomed the decision taken by the speaker of the Provincial Legislature in suspending 32 members of uMkhonto weSizwe Party MKP and one from the Economic Freedom Fighters EFF.
In a statement, Speaker Nontembeko Boyce said the Legislature will not tolerate violence, intimidation or deliberate disruption of its proceedings.
The suspension follows chaotic scenes during the motion of no confidence sitting on December 15 after disgruntled MKP members failed to remove Ntuli from his position as premier.
