The Nkabinde Inquiry into the fitness of suspended South Gauteng National Prosecuting Authority NPA Director Andrew Chaukes fitness to hold office, has granted the NPA legal team an early adjournment until Monday, after the team raised challenges hindering their preparedness to proceed with the hearings.
Chauke is accused of failing to prosecute cases involving politically connected individuals, while leading a team of prosecutors from Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal.
The adjournment has once again delayed National Director of Public Prosecutions, Shamila Batohis testimony, after it was postponed twice earlier this week.
