Mulilo has reached financial close on a 380MW solar photovoltaic project near Beaufort West in the Western Cape, marking the start of construction on one of the larger utility-scale solar developments in the country.
The project will have export capacity of 250MW and is expected to connect to the Drorivier transmission substation, adding new generation capacity to the grid.
Electricity from the plant will be supplied to commercial and industrial customers under a power purchase agreement structure facilitated through NOA Group.
