mtpa announces tariff adjustments

The Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency MTPA will implement revised tariffs for the 2025/26 financial year across its provincial nature reserves from December 12.

A 15 increase will apply to foreign nationals with a 7 increase for South African and SADC nationals. According to the MTPA, tariffs have historically been priced lower than comparable entities and the adjustments reflect the need to align more closely with operational costs and ongoing infrastructure investment.

Key adjustments include the Blyde River Canyon all access ticket: a one-day access ticket to all MTPA viewpoints on the Panorama Route, priced at R161 US9.32 for South African citizens, R203 US11.75 for SADC visitors and R385 US22.28 for foreign nationals.
