A Cape Town mother's Valentine's Day turned into heartbreak after she discovered that her 21-year-old son had been lying in a mortuary for months following a fatal crash in Bellville.
A report by the Daily Voice, stated that the accident occurred on 30 November 2025. It is alleged that the driver involved in the crash was an off-duty police officer, although the exact circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation.
The victim's mother, Abigail Scott, said she is still struggling to come to terms with the death of her son, Alex. She recalled that the last time she saw him was on 23 November 2025.
