AS Monaco have left Paul Pogba out of their Champions League squad for the knockout rounds to accommodate players signed in the January transfer window, according to ESPN.
The French club is said to have decided to free up space for recent arrivals Simon Adingra and Wout Faes, both of whom are expected to play key roles in the upcoming Champions League playoff ties against Paris Saint-Germain later this month.
Pogba, who will celebrate his 33rd birthday next month, has endured a difficult campaign marked by limited game time and recurring fitness issues. He has featured just three times for Monaco this season, all as brief substitute appearances - two five-minute cameos against Rennes and PSG in November, and another outing off the bench against Brest.
