Controversial businessman Brown Mogotsi has alleged that attempted murder-accused businessman, Vusimuzi Cat Matlala, claimed he had given money to National Police Commissioner General Fannie Masemola, KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Lt-Gen Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi and former Police Minister Bheki Cele.
Mogotsi made the claim while testifying on Tuesday 18 November at the Madlanga commission of inquiry into allegations of criminality, political interference and corruption in the criminal justice system.
Mogotsis claims against Masemola and CeleHe claimed he was working as a Crime Intelligence contact agent and was involved in an investigation into a R360 million tender the South African Police Service SAPS awarded Matlalas company in 2024.
