The M4 has been closed between the M41 and the Umhlanga Offramp, north of Durban in KwaZulu-Natal after a crash that claimed the life of one person and left two others critically injured.
Multiple vehicles were involved. Several emergency teams are at the scene.
"A truck, a taxi and a bike have collided leaving one person fatally injured and critically injuring two others. A couple of others sustained minor injuries. Now the roadway has been closed to traffic in both directions obviously as emergency providers are working to stabilise the injured on the scene. I would advise all motorists to avoid this area as the scene would be active for quite some time to allow the necessary authorities to deal with this emergency," says Advance Life Supports Garrith Jamieson.
