Mamelodi Sundowns forward Lucas Ribeiro Costa has terminated his employment contract with the South Africa Premier Soccer League PSL champions, with effect from 1 August 2025.
He is also seeking a ruling from the FIFA Football Tribunal on the implications of his contract termination.
Ribeiro had a stellar 2024/2025 season with Masandawana, scooping the PSL Footballer of the Season , Betway Premiership Players' Player of the Season, Betway Premiership Goal of the Season and Betway Premiership Top Goal Scorer awards.
