A witness from the Legal Practice Council LPC, Philani Stanley Sambo, has confirmed that Ntokozo Mjiyako was a practising attorney when accused No.: 2, Bongani Ntanzi, allegedly confessed to the murder of Senzo Meyiwa.
Ntanzi is said to have made two confession statements with Mjiyako present at the Boksburg Magistrates Court before Magistrate Vivian Cronje.
This comes despite Ntanzi previously denying that he knew Mjiyako or that he had ever confessed to the crime.
Sambo was testifying in the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria, where five men are on trial for the 2014 murder of the Bafana Bafana captain.
He also read out Magistrate Cronjes statement to the court.
