Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi has visited the bereaved mother after one of the conjoined Sithole twins, who were separated at the Mankweng Hospital outside Polokwane in Limpopo, died. The twins had been separated almost three weeks ago.
Motsoaledi, who paid his condolences to the family, says the late infant, a boy, looked stronger after the successful operation to separate them. The twins had been conjoined at the abdomen.
Coincidentally I am told the baby we lost is the one the strongest after the operation the one who has survived was the one who was the weakest. These things happen because no matter how much we know, life in the finally analysis is in the hands of God not in the hands of human beings but they try their best.
