KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Transport and Human Settlements Siboniso Duma has commended the Road Traffic Inspectorate RTI team from Park Rynie for arresting a senior government official for allegedly breaking several traffic laws.
The official who was stopped by members of the RTI attempted to evade arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol, which led to a high-speed chase.
The official was eventually caught and arrested.
