Two females and one male have been killed in a horrific crash in the Inkanyezini area, near Lion Park, just outside Pietermaritzburg in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands.
It is alleged that the driver lost control, collided with the barrier and ended up in the local river.
ALS paramedics Garrith Jamieson says, Brave bystanders entered the flowing river to assist and managed to pull two females from the wreckage and brought them to the river banks. Paramedics assessed the two females, believed to be in their twenties and thirties however, they showed no signs of life and were declared deceased on the scene.
