The KwaZulu-Natal Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs Department says it has placed disaster management teams across the province on alert. This as the South African Weather Service forecasts disruptive rainfall in the midlands, north and south of the province.
The departments spokesperson Senzelwe Mzila has urged people in low-lying areas to be vigilant.
This follows the weather warnings received from the weathers service which shows that inclement weather conditions can be expected across the province from Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, says Mzila.
