The Electoral Commission of South Africa IEC has launched a self-service online portal registration system.
The system is aimed at enabling citizens to register, update, and verify their details remotely to improve accessibility, efficiency, and integrity of the voter registration process.
To date, the portal has recorded over 26 000 newly registered voters, bringing the number of registered voters a little close to 28 million voters.
