The Hawks in Mpumalanga have arrested two more suspects linked to the sale of expired food on a farm in Charl Cillier in Secunda.
Farmer Pieter Grobler was apprehended in February when rotten food and packaging material were found inside a cold storage facility and two trucks on the premises.
He was released on R8 000 bail by the Secunda Magistrates Court, and he will be back in court on the 1 st of August.
The latest accused, Mark and Sonnet Lombard, believed to be Groblers relatives, were released on warning by the same court on Tuesday. They are expected to appear alongside him.
The Hawks say the Lombards allegedly conspired with Grobler in fraudulent activities and money laundering.
