Grassy Park police have opened a robbery with firearm case following an incident involving an e-hailing driver robbery in Parkwood on Saturday, 25 April 2026, reports Cape town Etc .
Western Cape SAPS media liaison Sergeant Wesley Twigg confirmed that the incident took place at about 8:47pm in Pers Road after the driver responded to a pickup request.
Upon arrival at the mentioned address two unknown males got into the vehicle, Twigg said. He added that the one male took out a firearm and they robbed the victim before fleeing the scene.
