With festive travel expected to surge from tomorrow, the Gauteng Provincial Government is set to intensify road safety operations to curb fatalities.
In the first 21 days of December, 137 people have died in 124 road crashes across the province.
Authorities say they will ramp up roadblocks, vehicle roadworthiness checks, alcohol and drug testing, and enforcement against reckless driving.
