Gauteng police are investigating the death of two cyclists on the R82 in De Deur, south of Johannesburg. They died after a car crashed into them while cycling on Sunday morning.
Gauteng provincial police spokesperson Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi says it is reported that a white VW Polo vehicle with five occupants hit two cyclists causing the vehicle to overturn.
The two cyclists were declared dead on the scene while the occupants of the vehicle were taken to hospital with serious injuries. No arrests have been made, and police investigations are underway.
