Gauteng Finance MEC Nkululeko Dunga says the e-toll debt remains a major constraint on the provinces balance sheet. He emphasised that while Gauteng remains the economic engine of the country, the structural challenges facing the finances of the province demand bold action.
Dunga addressed the media ahead of the budget vote debate today.
He says the provincial treasurys immediate priorities include fixing the procurement system, strengthening revenue collection across motor vehicle licensing and paying service providers on time.
