Anglican Archbishop of Cape Town Thabo Makgoba has raised concerns about gambling in the country.
He says it accounts for 60 of the R1.5 trillion gambling industry and is trapping millions of people in a cycle of addiction.
Makgoba was delivering the 18th Christmas Eve midnight mass at St George's Cathedral in the mother city.
