The trial within a trial in the R255 million asbestos roof removal case will resume today in the Bloemfontein High Court in the Free State.
The matter was postponed last Thursday after a state witness, the investigating officer, fell ill.
Judge Phillip Loubser was expected to deliver a ruling on whether other defence lawyers can cross-examine the state witness who is an investigating officer in the asbestos case.
Last week, Ace Magashules legal representative, Laurence Hodes, requested to cross-examine the state witness.
Magashule was the Premier of the Free State at the time of the alleged illegal awarding of the multimillion rand tender.
