The body of five-year-old Onkarabetse Leeuw has been found on the outskirts of Glen Location near Bloemfontein in the Free State.
Police spokesperson Thabo Covane says the child was reported missing on Saturday.
Covane says a 29-year-old woman, who is also the deceaseds aunt, has been arrested for kidnapping and murder.
