FlySafair says it does not anticipate disruption to flights after the South African Cabin Crew Association SACCA served notice of industrial action, with about a third of the airlines cabin crew set to strike from the evening of November 3.

The strike noticed follows months of wage negotiations between FlySafair and SACCA through the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration CCMA. A protected strike became legally possible after the 30-day dispute period expired.

The union rejected the airlines latest offer, which included a 5,7 salary increase, a 7,5 annual bonus, annual experience-based pay progression and additional monthly allowances.
